You are a lovely human being. Thank you so much for your wisdom. My heart is singing

You're right that everyone has the right to a blog or web presence on the internet...even granny, LOL! I still know a good number of people that just don't care about the internet very much and view it as a time waster. I even met a guy the other day that has never had an email address. That just blew me away.

I guess I better go update my blog now ;- )

Re: Personal Branding is For Everyone - Heidi Ohlander

These are great points that cause you to think about why we all need personal branding.

For the last 4 years my wife and I have been full-time parents. We are truly blessed to be able to do this. We had the funds to take the last 4 years off... and live comfortably. We even bought a new home and two new cars (cars were with cash).

Now I am realizing that I need to get out in the marketplace again to share my knowledge! I am sitting comfortably on this vast amount of knowledge that could help millions of Entrepreneurs.

I have started many businesses, and have helped hundreds more build their business. In 1991 I became a protege of Jay Abraham's. In 2000 I became a National Trainer for Tony Robbins. Over the years I helped company's increase their revenue's by millions.

Yet... they were all businesses here in the New England area. I am realizing it is time to package this knowledge up to be able to help Entrepreneurs.

It is called Accelerator For Success. The main points are: Clarity, Confidence & Focus... using my 12 Principles of DREAM BAR CAFE.

So YES... I need Personal Branding! Now is the time. Thank you.
Authenticity can't be faked or watered down! A true Brand draws you in and sometimes it may even get under your skin But, you are attracted to it because they are being true to who they are and what they stand for.

This is especially true when children are in school - they get branded as the smart kid or the jock or the popular girl or worse - the unpopular girl. Those brands in the minds of others can stay with people for life unless they turn it around and brand themselves.

Re: Personal Branding is For Everyone - Heidi Ohlander

You are so welcome!

I feel like you stood up for my true awareness of what personal branding is. I think at the site where this post was linked, she misrepresented my views on personal branding by taking something totally out of context. Your comments on that post were spot on.

I have more personal branding posts up my sleeve - stay tuned.

Ugh. Like this new trend of "friending/unfriending" just to add to their numbers. Others friend because they think I have "enough" friends to make me a worthwhile Twitterer. And I doubt you have this problem Halcyon, but I am followed by many guys on Twitter just because I am a pretty girl.

I'm flattered, but it's a bit creepy too.

I know a little authenticity can go a long way. And hugs could help too.
((HUG)) right back at 'ya,

Maybe I can be a bit of a wake up call to someone who is sleepwalking in an inauthentic life.

I've been discouraged by the "marketing for marketing sake" that I keep seeing from Twitter adds. A little authenticity would go a long way. Nice to see you here!

What you do with your work is helpgin people find that particular part of their inner self that is their "bombshell" archetype. Your work is important in helping women find that sexy glow! That's great!

I can't wait to see more from the women you work with!

I work with people on finding their inner bombshell - who they are and what makes them unique. I only just came to the realisation that perhaps I was offering personal branding but now after reading your post I might have to redefine that again as I love what you say about authentic branding. x

Re: Week in Forward - Introduction - Heidi Ohlander

Hey there, Heidi! This is a brilliant idea! Amy Tuttle said she was inspire by what you had written and sent me your link to check it out. Brilliant! I look forward to seeing how it works for you. I'm sure it's going to be a powerful force in propelling you forward!

I've done something similar in my mind that's really hard to explain, but I've never done it with anything so focused as accomplishing projects on a list. I think this is awesome! I'll be using it when I return from vacation. Thanks so much for sharing your idea!
